EcoWin2000 model introduction
EcoWin 2000 | Scale B,C - definition | Shellfish | North Atlantic/Mediterranean | Institute of Marine Research, Portugal |
| Description: | EcoWin - an object-oriented programming approach to implementing ecological models for aquatic systems, using a spatial (1D, 2D or 3D) framework of boxes, within each of which the relevant biogeochemistry and population dynamics can be resolved for particular locations and problems. ASSETS - a screening model that can be used as an integrated approach for eutrophication assessment. This model provides an overall classification of the eutrophication status of the system into five classes: High (best), Good, Moderate, Poor and Bad (worst). FARM - A web-based model for modelling of shellfish farms in coastal and estuarine waters, including waste transport, shellfish individual growth for several species, population dynamics and dissolved oxygen balance. | |||
